ABOUT QUEER DODGEBALL TORONTO
Welcome to your new favourite dodgeball league — a place where fun meets community, and everyone is welcome to play.
We originally launched as Gay Ball Society, but we’ve since rebranded to Queer Dodgeball Toronto. The name change reflects a shift that’s been happening in our hearts and on our courts — a commitment to creating a space that’s more inclusive, more welcoming, and more reflective of the full spectrum of our queer community.
Don’t worry — the league you know and love is still the same. The games, the energy, the ridiculous team names — that’s all here. But this new name better represents our mission and the kind of space we want to grow into together.
OUR MISSION
At our core, our mission is simple:
To create a space where everyone feels safe, celebrated, and supported while having a blast playing dodgeball. Whether you’re here to sweat, socialize, or just survive a few throws, you’re part of the team.
OUR STORY
While we’ve historically been made up mostly of cisgender gay men, our new goal is to build a league that is actively welcoming and inclusive of bi folks, trans players, non-binary players, and everyone across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. We believe queer spaces should reflect the beautiful diversity of our community — and we’re committed to making that real on and off the court.
