What is Queer Dodgeball Toronto?
Queer Dodgeball Toronto is a social-first dodgeball league that welcomes 2SLGBTQIA+ folks and allies into the fun, fast, and delightfully chaotic world of dodgeball.
Dodgeball is part sport, part social experiment, and part beautiful mess. Imagine a gym full of flying foam balls, quick dives, dramatic saves, and the occasional slow-motion dodge worthy of an action movie. It’s fast, it’s silly, and it’s the perfect icebreaker – you can’t help but bond with the people you’re dodging with and the ones you’re dodging from.
But here’s the thing: it’s more than just a game. Between the laughs, the high-fives, and the post-game hangs, dodgeball becomes less about the scoreboard and more about showing up, getting some cardio, and finding your people. It’s where you can be fully yourself, try something ridiculous, and feel like you belong.
That’s exactly why we rebranded from Gay Ball Society to Queer Dodgeball Toronto – to reflect the direction we’ve been heading all along. This is a space where friendships and community come first, and it just so happens that it all comes together around this wonderfully wacky sport we call dodgeball.
Formerly known as Gay Ball Society, we rebranded to Queer Dodgeball Toronto to better reflect and welcome the diversity of our community. Our league celebrates all identities and expressions, creating an inclusive space where everyone can show up authentically—whether you’re here to win or just here for the vibes.
What is Classic League?
Classic League brings all the energy of Queer Dodgeball Toronto to a full-size court, offering more space to move, throw, and dodge. With 18 teams split across two gyms, games are lively, fast-paced, and social, making it just as easy to meet new people as it is to score a win.
Each Monday night, teams play two 20-minute games and take turns refereeing, with rosters randomized every season to keep things fresh and balanced.
The season also includes four major events: the Draft Party, two themed nights, and a Closing Ceremony. Plus, weekly post-game hangouts at our sponsor bar give everyone a chance to connect off the court.
Whether you’re here for the competition, the community, or a mix of both, Classic League is all about playing hard, having fun, and building friendships along the way.
What is Little League?
Little League brings all the energy of Queer Dodgeball Toronto into a smaller, more personal setting. With 8 teams rotating on a single court, games are fast-paced and fun, but with fewer players than the Classic League.

The season also includes four major events: the Draft Party, two themed nights, and a Closing Ceremony. Plus, weekly post-game hangouts at Pegasus gives everyone a chance to connect off the court.
Whether you’re new or a veteran, Little League is all about friendly competition, meeting people, and enjoying dodgeball in a close-knit, welcoming space.
Early Registration: Equity & Access Program
As part of our ongoing commitment to equity and access, we offer early registration to folx who identify as part of an underrepresented or marginalized community — including non-binary, trans, queer, and BIPOC players.
We’ve reserved 20% of total league spots (2 spots per team) across both Classic and Little Leagues specifically for Early Registration.
If you identify with one of these groups, you can use this link for Classic League and this link for Little League to join the early-registration list between December 12 and 14th. The link may close prior to Dec 14 if all spots have been filled.
If you miss out, don’t worry! You’ll still be able to register during general registration on December 16 at 12pm.
